Custom Software & AI Systems

Software for businesses that have outgrown their spreadsheets.

We design and build the systems your operation actually runs on, business platforms, mobile apps, dispatch and AI automation. Fixed price per phase, working software every phase, and you own the code outright.

45 minutes, free, no pitch deck. If it is not a fit we will tell you on the call.

How we work

Eight phases. You approve each one before the next starts.

Most software projects fail on communication, not code. Every phase has a written exit gate, so nobody is guessing whether it is done.

  1. 01

    Discovery Call45 minutes, free

We work out whether this project makes sense and whether we are the right team for it. You do most of the talking. If we are not a fit, we say so on this call and point you somewhere better.

  2. 02

    Discovery & Scoping1–2 weeks

We map your current process properly, decide the architecture, and turn a conversation into a costed plan. This is paid work because it is the phase that determines whether everything after it succeeds.

  3. 03

    Proposal & Agreement2–4 days

You get one document containing the scope, the phases, the fixed price, the payment schedule and what is explicitly not included. Nothing after this point should surprise you.

  4. 04

    Design & Architecture1–3 weeks

Interfaces get designed and the technical foundation gets built: data model, environments, deployment pipeline. Boring, and the reason the later phases run predictably.

  5. 05

    Development4–16 weeks, in phases

We build in phases, and each phase ends with something working on staging that you can use. You see progress weekly. No four-week silence followed by a reveal.

  6. 06

    Testing & Hardening1–3 weeks

We test the system against real workflows and real data, fix what surfaces, and review security and performance before anything touches production.

  7. 07

    Launch & Handover1 week

We deploy to production, migrate your data, train your team, and hand over the keys. You own everything: code, accounts, documentation.

  8. 08

Warranty & Support30–60 days, then optional

Defects found after launch are fixed free during the warranty window. After that, you can take it in-house, hire anyone you like, or keep us on a retainer.

Why Cambotix

Six commitments, in writing.

These are the terms we work under, not aspirations. They are in the service agreement.

01

You own everything, and we make ourselves replaceable

Repository, documentation and infrastructure transfer to your organization on final payment. Standard technologies, no proprietary framework of ours in the middle. A team that is hard to replace is protecting itself, not you.

02

Fixed price per phase. Our estimate is our risk

You know the cost before a phase starts. If we estimated badly, that is our problem, not a change order. Hourly billing rewards a developer for being slow, and we would rather not be paid that way.

03

We will tell you not to build it

If a packaged product fits your process, or the project does not earn its cost, you hear that on the discovery call. We have turned down work for this reason. It costs us a project and earns a reputation.

04

Working software every phase, not a reveal at the end

Each phase ends with something running on staging that you can use, plus a weekly written update on what shipped, what is in progress and what is blocked. No four-week silences.

05

Khmer-first, not translated afterwards

Khmer typography, numerals and text segmentation are design decisions we make at the token level on day one. Retrofitting Khmer into an English build is where most local projects lose weeks.

06

Built by the people you talk to

We are a small senior team and we say so. You speak directly to the engineer building your system. There is no account manager relaying messages and no quiet subcontracting to a cheaper shop.

Industries

Where we have already solved this.

Domain knowledge shortens a project. If your sector is here, we have built the awkward parts before.

Marketplaces & E-Commerce

Multi-vendor marketplaces, storefronts, escrow wallets, real-time chat and search.

FinTech & Investment

Agent-delivered investment platforms, scheduled payouts, multi-subsidiary accounting.

Logistics & Delivery

Driver dispatch, route assignment, GPS tracking, gas cylinder and parcel delivery.

AI & Machine Learning

Spam/phishing detection, voice analysis, Khmer NLP, AI-generated ad creatives.

EdTech & Skill Sharing

Course platforms, video lessons, instructor portals, progress tracking.

NGO & Social Impact

Donor portals, volunteer management, transparent impact reporting.

Technology

Boring, proven choices with clear reasons behind them.

We pick technology your next developer can hire for, not whatever is trending. Here is the reasoning behind each layer.

Web

Next.jsReact.jsTypeScriptTailwind CSS

Next.js and TypeScript because server rendering, routing and type safety come as one decision instead of four libraries to maintain.

Mobile

FlutterReact NativeRiverpod

Flutter because one codebase covers Android and iOS at one cost, and because it stays fast on the cheap phones your users actually own.

Backend

Node.jsNestJSExpress.jsLaravelFastAPIPrisma

NestJS or Laravel for structure that survives a team change, FastAPI where the workload is Python-shaped, such as machine learning.

Data

PostgreSQLMySQLRedisMongoDB

PostgreSQL is our default because it handles relational integrity, JSON and search well enough that most systems never need a second database.

Infrastructure

AWSFirebaseDockerNginx

Docker so staging and production behave identically, on AWS or a VPS depending on whether your budget or your scale is the binding constraint.

AI & ML

Pythonscikit-learnTransformers / BERTGemini API

Python for training and inference, kept in its own service so models can be swapped or rolled back without touching your product backend.

Investment

Published prices, because guessing wastes both our time.

Four ways to start. Every figure is a starting point. You receive one fixed number in writing after a discovery call.
